Una prueba de gamepad es una herramienta de diagn?stico que verifica el funcionamiento de tu control en tiempo real: botones, gatillos y sticks, adem?s de detectar stick drift. Es ?til para solucionar problemas, probar controles usados antes de comprar o verificar reparaciones. Este tester en el navegador funciona con controles de Xbox, PlayStation y gen?ricos sin necesidad de instalar software.
C?mo funciona esta prueba de gamepad en l?nea
Nuestro tester usa la Gamepad API del navegador para comunicarse directamente con tu control. Cuando conectas un gamepad por USB o Bluetooth y presionas un bot?n, el navegador lo detecta y empieza a consultar el estado con alta frecuencia. Leemos estados de botones (presionado o liberado), posiciones de sticks (ejes X e Y de -1.0 a 1.0) y valores de gatillos (0.0 a 1.0). Todo el procesamiento ocurre localmente en tu navegador, sin enviar datos ni requerir plugins o descargas.
Precisi?n y limitaciones
Esta prueba en el navegador detecta con precisi?n botones, sticks y gatillos en la mayor?a de controles est?ndar. Limitaciones: la retroalimentaci?n h?ptica (vibraci?n, gatillos adaptativos) no puede probarse con la Gamepad API. Las tasas de sondeo pueden variar seg?n el navegador (Chrome suele ofrecer mejor soporte). Algunos controles de terceros pueden no ser totalmente compatibles. Para diagn?sticos profesionales o garant?as, las herramientas del fabricante pueden dar resultados m?s detallados.
C?mo interpretar tus resultados
Stick drift
Si los valores del stick no vuelven a 0.00 al soltarlo, tienes drift. Una deriva leve (?0.05) puede compensarse con deadzones en juegos. Una deriva fuerte (?0.15+) suele requerir reparaci?n o reemplazo.
Respuesta de botones
Todos los botones deben iluminarse al instante al presionarlos y volver a inactivos al soltar. Respuesta lenta o botones que quedan activos indican posibles fallas de switches.
Rango de gatillos
Los gatillos deben reportar valores de 0.0 (liberado) a 1.0 (totalmente presionado) de forma suave. Si no alcanzan el rango completo, pueden estar desgastados o requerir calibraci?n.

- Stick Drift
- When an analog stick registers movement without being touched. Caused by worn potentiometers inside the stick mechanism. Measurable as non-zero X/Y axis values at rest.
- Deadzone
- A configurable threshold around the stick's center position where small inputs are ignored. Increasing the deadzone can compensate for mild stick drift in games, but reduces precision.
- Polling Rate
- How often the controller reports its state to the host device, measured in Hz. Most controllers poll at 125-250 Hz via USB. Higher polling rates mean lower input latency.
- Button Ghosting
- When certain button combinations fail to register because the controller's hardware cannot handle simultaneous inputs. More common in budget controllers with limited input matrix designs.
- Trigger Throw
- The physical travel distance of an analog trigger from fully released (0.0) to fully pressed (1.0). Shorter throw = faster full-press; longer throw = more fine-grained control.
