게임패드 테스트는 버튼, 트리거, 아날로그 스틱을 실시간으로 점검하고 스틱 드리프트 문제를 확인하는 진단 도구입니다. 컨트롤러 문제 해결, 중고 구매 전 확인, 수리 후 점검에 유용합니다. 이 브라우저 기반 테스터는 Xbox, PlayStation, 범용 컨트롤러에서 동작하며 설치가 필요 없습니다.
온라인 게임패드 테스트 작동 방식
게임패드 테스터는 브라우저의 Gamepad API를 사용해 컨트롤러와 직접 통신합니다. USB 또는 Bluetooth로 연결 후 버튼을 누르면 브라우저가 감지하고 높은 주기로 상태를 폴링합니다. 버튼 상태(눌림/해제), 아날로그 스틱 위치(X/Y -1.0~1.0), 트리거 값(0.0~1.0)을 읽어옵니다. 모든 처리는 브라우저에서 이루어지며 데이터는 전송되지 않고 플러그인/다운로드가 필요 없습니다.
정확도와 한계
이 브라우저 기반 테스트는 대부분의 컨트롤러에서 버튼/스틱/트리거 입력을 정확히 감지합니다. 다만 햅틱(진동, 적응형 트리거)은 Gamepad API에서 테스트할 수 없습니다. 브라우저별 지원 수준이 다를 수 있으며(일반적으로 Chrome이 가장 좋음), 일부 서드파티 컨트롤러는 완전 호환이 아닐 수 있습니다. 전문 진단이나 보증 청구에는 제조사 도구가 더 정확할 수 있습니다.
결과 해석 방법
스틱 드리프트
스틱을 놓았는데 값이 0.00으로 돌아가지 않으면 드리프트입니다. 작은 드리프트(±0.05)는 게임의 데드존 설정으로 보정할 수 있습니다. 큰 드리프트(±0.15 이상)는 수리나 교체가 필요할 수 있습니다.
버튼 반응
버튼을 누르면 즉시 표시되고, 떼면 비활성으로 돌아가야 합니다. 지연되거나 계속 활성으로 남는다면 스위치 문제가 있을 수 있습니다.
트리거 범위
트리거는 0.0(미눌림)에서 1.0(완전히 눌림)까지 부드럽게 변화해야 합니다. 끝까지 도달하지 않으면 마모나 보정 문제가 있을 수 있습니다.

- Stick Drift
- When an analog stick registers movement without being touched. Caused by worn potentiometers inside the stick mechanism. Measurable as non-zero X/Y axis values at rest.
- Deadzone
- A configurable threshold around the stick's center position where small inputs are ignored. Increasing the deadzone can compensate for mild stick drift in games, but reduces precision.
- Polling Rate
- How often the controller reports its state to the host device, measured in Hz. Most controllers poll at 125-250 Hz via USB. Higher polling rates mean lower input latency.
- Button Ghosting
- When certain button combinations fail to register because the controller's hardware cannot handle simultaneous inputs. More common in budget controllers with limited input matrix designs.
- Trigger Throw
- The physical travel distance of an analog trigger from fully released (0.0) to fully pressed (1.0). Shorter throw = faster full-press; longer throw = more fine-grained control.
